About the artist

My Mom tells me art was always in me. As an African-American girl growing up in the late 1980’s coming from parents who fled the Jim Crow South, education was the only way to surviving that version of America. Because of this, I never explored my artistic expression as a viable life path. Now, in this version of America it is no longer acceptable to just survive but now we all deserve to thrive. I am excited to be a part of a community of talented people that dare to hope and express their dreams through art. I believe every human being is capable of reaching deep down inside and pulling out an image of themselves to create an expression that has a life of its own. Aoratosafti – Let me share myself with you.
