About the artist

My work represents local ecologies and promotes environmental awareness through scientifically accurate and at times, make believe drawings and paintings of flora and fauna. With bright and pastel colors and a touch of fantasy, my work, both public and private inspires, uplifts and promotes feelings of well being and joy.

I received my BFA at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles (02) where I currently teach drawing & painting. Since 2014, I have completed nine public murals, commissions for local galleries and a commission for the Museum of Art and History in Lancaster’s permanent collection. My public work represents diverse audiences in locations including West LA College, LAX International airport and LA County’s Olive View Restorative Care Village. My paintings and drawings have been exhibited regularly in galleries and museums since 2004 and are held by both public and private collections including Saks Fifth Avenue Collection, Miami, Fl, Harvard Westlake School, LA, CA Goldman Sachs, and Los Angeles County Department of Arts & Culture. I am founder/ President of the non profit, Inglewood Open Studios in Inglewood, CA where I have lived and worked since 2006.
