Los Angeles based painter-printmaker Megan Riera approaches the built and natural environment and their inhabitants as something to be understood through close visual observation and documentation. Sometimes this is conveyed through highly rendered and detailed images; at other times it might be that the “capture” is more openly abstracted: a realistic representation of a mood or an adjective.
