About the artist

My developing installation emerges from recycled materials, cast-off goods, and other remnants of consumption. I use the paper-making process as a foundation to shape and mold textured forms into discrete pieces. By transforming everyday objects, including the fine fibers of clothing, fabric, and other common materials, my work reflects on themes of waste and renewal. My belief is that this visual language holds rich potential for expansion, naturally lending itself to a multidisciplinary approach, possibly incorporating video and sound to document both process and concept. At the same time, my abstract paintings continue to evolve with a free, gestural approach. I build form and color layer by layer, employing various strategies to create a sense of pictorial space. The process feels intuitive, as if the work gradually resolves itself, guided by an inner logic that unfolds through the act of making.
