About the artist

Over the last decade, my artistic journey has taken me from my earlier California Landscapes series to my most recent works, which delve into the rich textures and earthy materials such as driftwood, sand dust, and natural pigments. My work has been driven by my deep fascination with the natural world surrounding us and our environment's inherent fragility, which I like to explore.

This series explores three fundamental natural elements: water, fire, and earth. Water, with its life-giving properties; fire, with its destructive yet transformative nature; and earth are all brought together in harmonious union.

These three pillars of existence have been seamlessly interwoven into the fabric of this collection, and each piece is united by a common thread—wood. Wood, much like trees, symbolizes nature's duality: its strength and vulnerability, its essence of life and death, serving as a reminder of the eternal dance of existence.
