About the artist

I'm new to the neighborhood and would love to find ways to respectfully contribute to the community (both artistically and more broadly speaking), to reduce harm however possible while occupying space as a white person, and to learn about projects/direct actions/political groups that I can support or contribute to on a local level.

I'm a huge fan of Crenshaw Dairy Mart and extremely inspired by the Abolitionist Pod project. My past work has been in the social practice and social justice spaces and I currently work in experiential marketing and digital media production. I hope to find ways to utilize these skillset to build new frameworks that address anti-racism and housing justice in LA.

My personal artistic pursuit is more meditative and experimental at the moment. I'm exploring the materiality of painting, large scale painting, interior mural painting and immersive installation. I believe a personal art practice is essential to maintaining inner peace and spiritual protection to allow for more productive and sustainable community service.
